BaMidbar (Numbers) 13:1
1st Aliyah
HaShem spoke to Moshe saying, "Send forth men, if
you please, and let them spy out the Land of C'na'an that I give to the Children
of Yisra'el; one man each from his father's tribe shall you send, every one a
leader among them."
The Torah teaches us that Moshe did not send the tribal leaders
themselves, however, because they were in charge of the banners, and it was on
their orders that the camps would set forth. After Moshe had chosen the
messengers, he ask HaShem, "Here are the individuals who were chosen from their
respective tribes--are they suitable for this expedition?" HaShem assured
Moshe that the chosen ones were worthy for the task; because HaShem agreed to
the sending out does not mean He sent them forth. Moshe sent them with the
blessing of HaShem, not the command of HaShem.

BaMidbar (Numbers) 13:21
2nd Aliyah
The spies headed
north to explore the Land, from the Wilderness of Zin Desert to the expanse
at Rechov, the approach to Hamath.
The Torah teaches us that the men journeyed on the south-eastern corner
of the Land, traversed it lengthwise, i.e., along the entire southern
boundary, up to the northwestern corner, then turned and traversed its
entire western edge, all the way to the north-west corner; "on the road to
Hamath."

BaMidbar (Numbers) 14:8
3rd Aliyah
If HaShem is pleased with us, He will guide us through
the Land and He will give it to us flowing with milk and honey.
The Torah teaches us that Joshua and Caleb spoke these words to the
congregation, "Should but HaShem wish, the inhabitants will be reduced to
nothing, since He will wage the wars on our behalf. Have we not already
seen miracle upon miracle from the land of Mitzrayim to today, this hour?
We must not rebel against HaShem and His faithfulness."

BaMidbar (Numbers) 14:26
4th Aliyah
HaShem spoke to Moshe and Aharon saying, "How long will
this doubting group exist, complaining against Me? I have heard the groaning
complaints from the Children of Yisra'el provoked against Me their G-d.
The Torah teaches us that at first Moshe did not reveal the decree made
against them through HaShem. Now, HaShem emphasizes to Moshe and Aharon
there is no way for this decree to be obviate. "It is because I have
solemnly sworn that since I am Life, I will make your accusations against Me
come true. If I do not carry out this decree against them, it will mean
that HaShem is not Life."

BaMidbar (Numbers) 15:8
5th Aliyah
When you prepare a young bull as a burnt-offering or
other sacrifice, to fulfill a vow, or as a peace-offering unto HaShem, at the
same time one must present a grain offering of 3/10 ephah mixed with 1/2 hin
oil. The wine presented as a libation shall also be 1/2 hin, as a fire-offering,
n appeasing fragrance to HaShem.
The Torah teaches us that if a large animal sacrifice was brought, the
amount of wine corresponded to six pounds in weight.

BaMidbar (Numbers) 15:17
6th Aliyah
HaShem spoke to Moshe saying, "Speak to the Children of
Yisra'el and say to them: When you come to the Land that I am giving you,
and you eat the Land's produce, you must separate an elevated gift for
HaShem.
The Torah teaches us that HaShem told Moshe, "Until now you have been
eating the produce of heaven, the manna, as it is written, 'I will make
bread rain down to you from the sky,' but as soon as you enter the Land, the
manna will cease and then you will eat produce from the Land."

BaMidbar (Numbers) 15:27
7th Aliyah
If a single individual commits an unintentional sin, he
must bring a yearling female goat for a sin-offering.
The Torah teaches us that an individual brings this offering if he
worships idols unintentionally. There were those may have worshipped idols
unintentionally if they mistakenly thought the Torah's laws were given for
only a specific time period, and that time had lapsed.
