Bereishit (Genesis) 47:28...
1st Aliya
"Ya'akov
lived in the land of Mitzrayim seventeen years; and the days of Ya'akov-the
years of his life-were seven years and forty and one hundred years."
The forty
seven years according to the Midrash are the years Ya'akov "really lived in
peace and prosperity" with Rachel and Yosef.

Bereishit (Genesis) 48:10...
2nd Aliya
"Now Y'isra'el's eyes were heavy with
age, he could not see; so he brought them near and he kissed them and hugged
them."
Yosef
brought his two sons, Efrayim and M'nasheh, close to Ya'akov for a blessing
from his father. The Sages teach that one qualified to bestow blessings upon
another, they must block-out all thoughts--close their eyes and await for
the Shechinah to descend over them.

Bereishit (Genesis) 48:17...
3rd Aliya
"Yosef
saw that his father was placing his right hand on Efrayim's head and it
displeased him; so he supported his fathers hand to remove it from Efrayim's
head to M'neshah's head."
Y'isra'el's (Ya'akov) vision, from the
Shechinah, clearly showed that Efrayim's tribe would be the host to remove
themselves from the slavery of Mitzrayim. From Efrayim's tribe came a man of
faith--Y'hoshua, leading the Jewry to eretz (land) of Y'isra'el.

Bereishit (Genesis) 49:1...
4th Aliya
"Then
Ya'akov called for his sons and said, "Assemble yourselves and I will tell
you what will befall you in the End of Days."
Ya'akov gathered his sons to learn if
one had departed from the "One G-d" of Y'isra'el. Avrahams son, Yismael
choose not to serve the "One-G-d". Yitzchak's son, Esav choose not to serve
the "One G-d". Ya'akov's sons would be the foundation for the tribes of
Y'isra'el--serving the "One-G-d".

Bereishit (Genesis) 49:19...
5th Aliya
"Gad
will recruit a regiment and it will retreat on its heel."
Gad
appointed his tribe to protect the people and land of Y'isra'el. He
led attacks against the nations of C'an'an--the Moabites, the Amorites
and the Arameans. The legend of his regiments spoke of strength,
speed, and courage when it came to defending the borders of the land,
Y'isra'el.

Bereishit (Genesis) 49:27...
6th Aliya
"Binyamin is a predatory wolf; in the
morning he will devour prey and in the evening he will distribute
spoils"
It is
in the tribe territory of Binyamin stands the Temple's sacrificial
alter. The predatory wolf alludes to sacrifice made unto G-d for man's
atonement at the Temple in Y'rushalayim. It is man's responsibility to
rise early in the morning to speak with G-d.

Bereishit (Genesis)
50:21...
7th Aliya
"So now, fear not--I will sustain you and your young ones. Thus he
comforted them and spoke to their hearts."
Yosef spoke these
words to comfort his brothers during the absentee of their
father's physical presents. Yet the spiritual presence will always
remain within the Jewish covenant with the "One G-d". G-d
continues to reign as the "One G-d", the Creator, Blessed be His
Name forever.
